The Encore Players Drama Club is Indian River Central High School's drama club. This is the first year of our drama club! IRCHS is located in Philadelphia, New York. My name is Krie Hauser. As I said earlier, this is our school's first year of having a drama club. Our advisor is Kristie Fuller (who is an awesome director, by the way!). We recently elected officers for next year. We have done 2 productions this year: "Juvie" by Jerome McDonough and "2 Nights of Shakespeare", where we had 2 nights of selected scenes from 7 Shakespeare plays (3 tragedies and 4 comedies); we did selected scenes from "Romeo and Juliet," "Macbeth," "Hamlet," "Much Ado About Nothing," "As You Like It," "Twelfth Night," and "A Midsummer's Night Dream." We competed at the Michael J. Harms Theatre Festival in Syracuse, and recently key-noted the Teen Sexuality Conference in Lake Placid. For both shows, we had to cut down our cast for time reasons, and so we took Krie, Tonia, Richard, Diana, Jennifer, Jessi, and Jessika to perform (except Erin Floyd filled in for Jessika at the Teen Sexuality Conference at the last minute and did a great job, especially for only having a week to learn the part!). We also took Noah to be our sound guy both times, and for the theatre festival we took Steve Hilyer (lighting), Benina McIver (stage manager), and Jennie Verne, Travis Donelson, and Jeaustine LaLone for our stage crew. Nice job, everyone!
